Playing a gig @ GURU Grille on 3/25 @ 9:30pm

So, I’m being reunited with my old friend & fellow Berklee grad Matt Sorensen. He & his girl, Jennifer, have been playing some of her tunes together, but they’ve been lacking in the low end, so I’m stepping on in & bringing the bass!

We’re playing a place in Plymouth, MA, called the GURU Grille; it’s an Indian restaurant + music room, should be a lot of fun.

A funny new blog by my friend Lynn

So my friend Lynn, who moved back to Seattle from Boston a while back, is a bit of a doodler, and she’s always drawing funny little graphs & stuff on sticky notes. She was sharing a few of them at her blog Roguelynn, but decided to spin it off into a separate venture of it’s own.

She asked for my help with setting it up as a self-hosted WordPress blog this time, so that site is living on the same server as this one. So far, she’s digging the sweet stuff she can do now with plugins and custom themes!

So, without further ado:

For all my rasta friends, here’s a brilliant license plate

A wise man once said…

… these excellent words, and I think they apply quite readily to a variety of things, including the recent kerfuffle with WikiLeaks:

Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.”

–Harry S Truman (1884 — 1972), August 8, 1950

This one lays it out rather plainly

Pulled from a post at TPM, “Democrats Aghast Over GOP Blocking 9/11 Responders Bill”:

In a statement to reporters, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said the Republican decision to block was a shock as well.

Republicans denied adequate health care to the heroes who developed illnesses from rushing into burning buildings on 9/11,” He said. “Yet they will stop at nothing to give tax breaks to millionaires and CEOs, even though they will explode our deficit and fail to create jobs.”

That tells you everything you need to know about their priorities,” Reid added.

Read the article itself for the whole story.

Update to the geekiest tattoo

So I found where the image originally came from. Head on over to my original blog post to check it out.

A super easy way to show me some love

So, here’s a nifty Safari extension I spotted a while back: Affiliatizer for Safari. Install it, and in your Safari preferences, you can add three Amazon affiliate codes to be randomly added to Amazon.com links throughout the web!

So, if you really think I’m nifty, install this sucker, and add berk-20 as all three affiliate codes, and I’ll be receiving affiliate earnings.

Or, if you’re a Firefox user, install this extension, which will run a user script that automatically adds my affiliate ID to your Amazon links, no fuss, no muss.

Love you, mean it.

Better JavaScript Docs! Pass it on

JavaScript Reference, JavaScript Guide, JavaScript API, JS API, JS Guide, JS Reference, Learn JS, JS Documentation
So apparently, if you do a search for “JavaScript”, all kinds of junk turns up instead of useful documentation. In an effort to combat this, some folks got together and came up with this nifty bit.

If you’d like to grab your own, or just read up about it, check it out at Promote JS!
