Past Projects
- Tony Brown & the Faithful (2007–2008)
A singer/songwriter who reminds me of Bill Withers, Tony’s music is a very fun and danceable mix of rock & soul, with a dash of reggae. Currently the group has an album for sale, Music For A Shrinking World, which was released in Feburary 2008.
- Maria McNeil (2007–2008)
A talented vocalist & songwriter, Maria’s music comes from a jazz tradition of strong harmony & improvisation, but is firmly rooted in R&B, soul, and world music. Besides her website, you can also visit her Myspace page to learn more & listen to samples.
- Matt Germak Band (2003–2007)
I have been playing bass with Matt since the very beginning, back in Spring of 2003. The group has gone through three different iterations since then, most recently as a trio, but always featuring Matt’s excellent pop-rock piano writing. Currently Matt is attending school for his medical degree, so having any kind of life is a bit tough for him, but we’ll see what the future holds!
- Chet (2003–2007)
Chet is a four piece bluegrass-rock group featuring the songwriting of Will Mitchell & Joe Koubek. More can be learned of this group at their website, or at Chet’s MySpace page. The group is currently defunct, but Chet lives on!
- Boston Common
Boston Common is Jonnie “Boomboom” Wiegratz’s 8-piece R&B/Dance cover band, featuring the music of James Brown, Prince, Sly & the Family Stone, & other classic soul hits, along with more current R&B & pop tunes. If you’ve got a wedding or bar gig that needs a killin’ dance band, this is the group to call. While I no longer perform with Boston Common, the group still exists, and they’re still killin’ it!
- Rachel Black Band (2003–2006)
One of the first groups I joined upon arriving at Berklee; I performed with Rachel Black from 2003 until 2005. Rachel now resides in NYC, and is still giggin’ hard!
- Statefish (2001–2003)
My band from high school in Charlotte, which included my three good friends, Matt Maher, Greg Martin, and Tim Rebich. You can still find Statefish’s music on the iTunes Store if you look hard enough.
